Drug Controller Department Monday sealed a medical store, directing the owner to produce valid license and other relevant documents before the department. As reported earlier, a medical shop at Magraypora Machaw in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district was run by a man who is a sweeper in SKIMS Bemina, erstwhile Jehlum Valley College. Locals had been alleging that the owner of the medical store was running this medical store without any license. Reports said that this morning a team from Drug Control Department along with a police party rushed to the area and sealed the said medical store. The owner was directed to produce relevant documents. An official from Drug Controller Department said that medical store has been sealed after receiving complaints from locals. “We in fact took cognizance of newspaper reports and sealed the medical store,” he said.
